Un jet con dieci persone a bordo si è schiantato in Russia tra Mosca e San Pietroburgo: a bordo c'era il generale Prigozhin.

Nessun superstite, secondo i servizi di emergenza russi.

È morto Toto Cutugno, "l'italiano vero" amato in Italia e all'estero

Aveva 80 anni, il cantante era da tempo malato

Toto Cutugno, nato il 7 luglio 1943 e scomparso oggi 22 agosto all'ospedale San Raffaele di Milano dove era ricoverato per l'aggravarsi di una lunga malattia, è stato uno dei cantanti più amati in Italia e simbolo della melodia italiana all'estero grazie soprattutto a L'Italiano, diventato nel tempo una specie di inno nazionale.

Quindici partecipazioni al festival di Sanremo all'attivo (con una storica performance nel 1990 in coppia con Ray Charles), autore di hit amatissime anche all'estero, da L'Italiano a Il tempo se ne va, La mia musica, Solo noi, per citarne solo alcune, Cutugno è stato un vero uomo di spettacolo, capace di passare con estrema disinvoltura dal cantautorato alla conduzione televisiva (nel 1987 fu alla guida di una fortunata edizione di 'Domenica In').

Room sizes according to players will be as follows

Spots

Between the 8 division 1 spots

• One spot is reserved for the leader of the World Ranking
• One spot is reserved for the leader of the tournament
• Two spots are reserved for the best players of division 2 in the previous evening
• The other spots are reserved for the top players of division 1 in the previous evening. In other words, last 2 for each evening gets relegated unless they have immunity from jerseys. If a player between the 8 having right to play div 1 is not there and he is not able to provide a sub, he gets relegated for the next week unless he has immunity from being leader.
• If there is a third division, players relegated from Division 1 will play in Division 2 and there will be 2 promotion from division 3
• In case of more spot or player missing, first relegated player has precedence on the third of Division 2, second relegated player on the fourth
• For any one day-race, leaders of the classics classification and the inline classification has the right to a spot
• For any small tour, leaders of the tour classification and the inline classification has the right to a spot

For the UCI Road World Cup ranking OR all the evening in which there is an UCI Road World Cup ranking races

• One spot is reserved for the defending champion if present (only for the UCI Road World Cup race)
• One spot in the Road World Cup races is reserved for the leader of the Road World Cup. If there is another classic in the same evening not belonging to the road world cup, he'll play also that
• One spot is reserved for any winner of division 1 and division 2 of the previous Road World Cup race.

For the Grand Tours

• One spot is reserved for the leader of the World Tour Ranking
• One spot is reserved for the defending champion if present
• One spot is reserved for the leader of the tournament
• Winner of the past grand Tour in division 2 gets to play next Grand Tour in division 1
• Winner of the past grand Tour in division 1 gets to play next Grand Tour in division 1

Point multipliers

• Division 2 points multiplier will be

Signore e signori (e signorix, visti i tempi...) siamo tornati operativi. Proverò a convertire su PCM questo Tour https://www.la-flamme-rouge.eu/maps/tours/view/1581 che ha degli spunti interessanti soprattutto in collina/media montagna per poter giocare le tappe online.

Stage 1: Brest - Dinan

Cominciamo subito con una tappa molto lunga che si concluderà con uno sprint in salita con del pavé per determinare la prima maglia gialla in una edizione tutta bretone della Milano - Sanremo. Sono partito dallo ZTCS di Pessoptimist per questa tappa, motivazione per cui è molto pesante e ho cercato nelle pendenze di lasciare un po' di quei saliscendi tipici della Bretagna

Format

The 2023/24 PCM Italia World Tour will be a ladder competition featuring a progressive season development. Generally, there will be one game day per week, unless the weekly event is a tour comprising more than 4-5 stages. The tournament will consist of two main rankings: the World Tour ranking and the World Cup ranking, comprising 10 events.

A significant aspect of the rebranding will be the division into Inline, Tour, Classics, ITT, and TTT classifications, which will serve as the primary focuses of the tournament. The World Ranking will be determined by the sum of points that riders accumulate in each event, making every event crucial for this ranking.

The World Cup will be based on the traditional World Cup concept, featuring 10 classic races that will compose it. The rider who accumulates the most points in these races will earn the privilege of wearing a special jersey.

Start of the season

As usual, players will be required to subscribe to the tournament via both Discord and the forum. During registration, they will need to select a team that will represent them throughout the entire season. Players will have the option to customize their team by changing its name and jersey design.

Furthermore, players will be allowed to choose a teammate who will accompany them for the remainder of the season. When forming a team, players must communicate their chosen team name to facilitate easy identification in the tournament's general classification.

Season

The season will encompass a variety of events, including classics, short tours, and Grand Tours. The selection of these events will be entirely arbitrary, meaning that each chosen event holds equal importance within its respective category. The classics will be further categorized into Monuments and other classics, each offering varying points towards the World Tour Ranking. Similarly, the tours will be categorized based on their scale, distinguishing between short tours and Grand Tours.

These categories will determine the point distribution within the tournament. Races and stages will be assigned a category based on their difficulty, which will impact various aspects of the tournament. For instance, the number of riders allowed to participate in a race will be fixed in accordance with its category. By utilizing these categorizations, the tournament aims to maintain fairness and balance across the events, ensuring an exciting and competitive season for all participants.

World Ranking

We are implementing the World Ranking as the inaugural ranking system for the tournament. It will encompass four race categories, each assigned a predetermined number of points that will be directly incorporated into the World Ranking standings.

When it comes to stage races, winning stages or securing secondary jerseys will hold significant importance. Therefore, here is the points scale for earning those achievements:

 

 

 

The weekly classification will be determined based on World Ranking points, taking into account only the first rider for each player and applying vacant points. The points earned by the first rider of each player in the World Ranking will be used to calculate their position in the weekly classification. No additional points will be awarded to the second or subsequent riders of the same player. This ensures that each player's performance is represented by their highest-ranking rider, and the points from other riders are left vacant and not considered for the weekly classification.

Tour classification

This tournament marks the introduction of competitions based on World Cup disciplines. Regular tours will adhere to the point scale of the 2023 World Cup, while for Grand Tours, the point scale will be multiplied by five. In terms of secondary classifications and stages, the points will be deducted from the available pool. This implies that while you cannot score points with a second rider in these categories, you can prevent other players from acquiring those points by claiming them.

 

Inline classification

For the inline classification, individual stages within tours will be considered. Additionally, if a player's first rider is not part of the captains' group, they will not score points. The scale for allocating points is as follows

The scale for the King of the Mountains (KOM) and Individual Stage (IS) classifications will not be fixed. Instead, the scale used will correspond to the respective races in which these classifications occur. This means that the scale for KOM and IS points will be based on the specific scales used in races such as the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Tour of the Alps, and other relevant competitions.

 

Bonuses

Once again, successfully distancing oneself from opponents will be highly rewarded, even within individual stages. Bonuses will be granted based on the following categories:

1) Flat stages, easy hill stages, single climb stages (as finish), and flat cobbled stages: 5x bonus.

2) Hill stages and mountain stages without a mountain top finish (with an elevation gain of less than 6000 meters): 3x bonus.

3) Hard mountain stages and stages without a mountain top finish with an elevation gain exceeding 6000 meters: 2x bonus.

 

The bonus points will be determined by comparing the time gap between the group comprising the human rider who represents 50% of the participants in the room plus 1 (for instance, the group of 4th if there are 6 or 7 people, or the group of 5th for 8 or 9 people). Only riders ahead of this group will receive the bonus points.

 

Classic classification

The classics classification will incorporate the customary scale used for classics races, considering vacant points. Additionally, if a player's first rider is not part of the captains' group, they will not score points.

Bonuses

For this classifications, time gaps from the last human rider will be taken into account with a multiplier of 1x. The maximum bonus points awarded will be 60 points for Individual Time Trials (ITT) with a time gap of 1 minute, and 120 points for Team Time Trials (TTT) with a time gap of 2 minutes.

Beyond these thresholds, the bonus points will remain the same.

Final Tournament classification

At this stage, the final classification will be determined by the sum of the aforementioned classifications, combined with the points accumulated up to that point. The following values will be used for the different classifications:

Tie-break

Tie-breaker in the tournament classification and for any classification is the best rider in World Ranking. Tie-break for the world ranking is the placement in the Tour de France, then in Giro, then in Vuelta.

Scrivo qua sia per provare a reinventare la sezione, sia perché non so dove metterlo.

• Pogacar esce dal Tour come il più forte. Non lo ha vinto Vingegaard, lo ha perso lo sloveno che esce comunque mai staccato in salita dopo il Marie Blanque riuscendo a staccare Vingegaard più volte - nonostante una preparazione deficitaria. Pogacar - che non sarà più in lotta per la gialla - deve decidere ora cosa fare "da grande". Se vuole vincere il Tour deve fare una preparazione mirata come quella di Vingegaard (che le prende da lui alla Nizza), ovvero 60-70% nella preparazione e un solo grande picco. La storia che "hanno gli stessi giorni di corsa" regge poco - semplicemente perché un conto è giocarsi il Fiandre e la Sanremo contro Van der Poel al picco (stessa cosa Liegi con Evenepoel), un conto il Gran Camino contro Herrada e i baschi contro Landa (che sono, a loro volta, anche loro lì in preparazione di altri obiettivi e non per vincere a differenza delle classiche). Il suo tallone d'Achille resta il recupero: dico che Pogacar lo ha perso perché ha avuto di fatto due giornate storte (di cui una, clamorosa, alla Loze) - proprio nel momento in cui era riuscito a staccare in maniera continua e coerente il suo rivale in salita. Ho zero dubbi che se Pogacar facesse una preparazione come quella di Vingegaard (che poi è quella del 2021) vincerebbe a mani basse il Tour 2024.
• Ci sono stati due Vingegaard. Da un lato quello della cronometro - che non ritengo onestamente spiegabile - nemmeno Indurain ha dato il 5% del tempo del vincitore al secondo, e quest'ultimo faceva uso di doping ematico. Dall'altro quello delle salite che è stato semi-dominante solo al Marie Blanque ma non ha raggiunto i livelli dello scorso anno a Granon ed Hautacam. Dopo la tappa di Cauterets non si è mai più visto all'attacco, forse per paura, fino alla Loze dove comunque ha preso solo 1'30'' da Gall che lo scorso anno avrebbe preso e passato. 
• Vingegaard rimane un personaggio ambiguo e poco positivo per il movimento in un momento in cui i leader (Pogacar, Evenepoel) stavano provando a fare Tour e classiche. Ha vinto la preparazione "Armstrongiana", anche se sembra che ora andrà alla Vuelta stile Froome. E' un grosso passo indietro per quello che doveva diventare il ciclismo per essere spettacolare da Marzo ad Ottobre. Se proprio il nulla tattico e la paura dipendono dalla Jumbo, almeno provino a farlo sembrare meno robot. Di solito quelli così non finiscono bene. P.s. Vingegaard che alla seconda tappa non tira 100 metri per provare a far vincere il compagno è una cosa bruttissima per questo sport.
• Il parco velocisti è stato veramente triste, non si vedeva qualcosa di così indecente da anni e purtroppo è un trend. Non c'è più una squadra in grado di fare un treno, il leader di fatto ha vinto due volate perché gliele ha tirate VDP, ne ha vinta una persino Pedersen e Cavendish era vicinissimo a fare il record prima di spaccarsi. Oggi un Petacchi/Cipollini vincerebbe di due biciclette sul secondo. E' anche vero che Merlier, al Tour, non c'è andato.
• Sono spariti i due crossisti. Van Aert non ha vinto nemmeno una tappa facendo gregariato e Van der Poel si è limitato a fare il gregario di lusso. Comprensibile - il loro obiettivo è il 6 agosto e nella stagione per loro contano più le classiche. Ovviamente non per questo la stagione di Van der Poel è fallimentare, come non può essere quella in cui vinci una monumento (lui, addirittura, due) - van Aert si gioca invece tutto il 6/8
• Il percorso fa schifo. Schifo. Una terza settimana scarsamente impegnativa, una penultima tappa dove per fortuna il Tour era già chiuso altrimenti non sarebbe successo niente, i Pirenei blandi all'inizio sono stati anche corsi bene ma come sempre c'è il compromesso al ribasso, tappe corte corse a scattini con la metà ignorate. L'arrivo al Grand Colombier, secco, da quel lato è cercare una volata in salita. Si è salvata la Loze - lo scorso anno avevano osato troppo per due tappe di fila, quest'anno niente
• Il gruppo che ignora l'arrivo al Puy de Dome arrivando a 20' è una delle robe più vergognose ed uno sputo in faccia alla storia della corsa
• Si è visto - timidamente - il tentativo di buttarsi nei grupponi per tentare di recuperare in classifica se sei dietro 4-5 minuti. Lo ha sfruttato Hindley, alla fine non lo ha sfruttato la UAE (che quindi non capisco cosa ha portato Yates a fare, visto che alla fine ha fatto la sua classifica).
• Il prossimo anno ci saltiamo l'inutile passerella scassapalle di Parigi - e già godo al pensiero.
