Organization

Tour de France 2019 is organized by Pro Cycling Manager Italia

Subscriptions

The tournament is by small teams between 1 (if you want to play solo) and 4 players. Subscriptions will remain open until all the duration of the competitions, but you cannot play the stage day if you subscribe after 20.15 CEST of that day.

To subscribe the Team Captain must subscribe his team in the topic on procyclingmanager.it forum

Every player can join only one team.

Team captains can add team members after the subscription if there are empty spots, simply making another subscription, but cannot change actual team members

At least one team per member must join the PCM Gamecenter Discord at the address https://discord.gg/EzF484M to register the presence of their team at 20.15 CEST

You can follow all the updates about the competition on the communities and on the Facebook page of Pro Cycling Manager Italia: https://www.facebook.com/procyclingmanagerit/

Dates

Tour de France will play stages of real Tour de France the day before the stage, from 6 to 28 July, with the same stage of the day. Open room will be at 20.30 CEST

Room creations

At 20.15 CEST at least one member of the team must be present on discord and register the presence of that team for that evening.

At 20.30 CEST the team list for that day will be registered and closed and rooms are made. For room size, see "Divisions paragraphs"

Divisions

Divisions are made on the basis of the ranking after the previous stage. Division 1 will be from 8 to 11 participants, division 2 will be the rest. When participants are 12, in fact, Division 1 will be 8 participants and Division 2 will be 4 and so on.

In first 5 stages there won't be a division 1 or division 2 so points are all assigned on the basis of division 2 rankings. Participants will be splitted into two groups of equal size.

Partial ranking for division split will be the actual points ranking for each team considering all the stages played

After the room publication on Discord and Facebook at 20.30 CEST room must be opened online by the host for each game. Host can launch the game when all the room members are present. Maximum depart time is set 15’ after the room creation. Passed this time host can launch the game even if not all the room members are present.

It’s possible to postpone the start of further 10 minutes if one of the following two conditions apply

  • An organization member order it
  • A player asks for it and the majority of the room members agreed

Database and rider Choice

Database will be PCM ITA ladder on the Steam Workshop during the week. Every team must play with six riders for each stage.

Crash and resetting

On every game in case of crash, players must re-enter using the automatic re-enter system provided by the game. Only the host can close the game if there are some bugs for him or one or more players.

If a single player does not join the game before its start, the game must be reset.

Every time a game is reset all the intermediate points, eventually the ones at KOM or Intermediate sprints are lost.

Room Re-enter

When, for whatever reason, a game is reset (for example, following a crash), game must be restarted until 5 minutes after the new room reopening. If one player was not in the room at the moment of the original launch but joins the room after the crash, he has the right to play the game. If a player was in the game at the moment of the reset but does not join the new room before 5 minutes after the crash, the game can be relaunched without him.

Postponements

Only the organization can postpone games to other date or times. If there are troubles, of any sort, host of the room has to ask the organization explaining motivations. In case of postponements of one stage, the stage will be recovered at 20.00 CEST of the day after or 20.30 CEST if it is a rest day.

Replay and exports

After every race host must send excel exports (for road race) uploading it on Discord

Other players have to make screenshots of the individual (and team, on road) ranking and send on request for complaints. Host have to wait to close the game to let other players take screenshots.

In case of controversial, jury can only decide basing on replay and screenshots. No reclaims are accepted without any material proof.

Competition General Rules

General game-playing rules

  • Each player is free to play as he wants, according to the game’s possibilities, except for the following rules
  • While it’s allowed that player help each other in certain race circumstances (for example, a breakaway), it’s strictly forbidden to team play. In other words, it’s forbidden any kind of help between players, without having advantage to it.
  • It’s forbidden to block an opponent in the last km of a road race.
  • It’s forbidden to block an opponent in the last 500m before an intermediate sprint.
  • In road race it’s forbidden to play for damage or advantage a specific player. For example, continuously blocking a player in a game.
  • It’s forbidden to block an opponent in a key point of the game
  • It’s forbidden to block opponents with a dead rider
  • It’s forbidden to keep your position blocking a faster opponent rider in climbs
  • It's forbidden to attack with more than two riders at the same time (increasing pace with a train is not considered attacking)
  • It's forbidden to make a train with more than 4 men, protection men included.
  • Trains are, on the other hand, free on last 20 Km of the stages, on the classified climbs, in the 5 km before a classified climb and in the 10 Km before the intermediate sprint

Gameplay settings

  • Artificial Intelligence will be set to none. Please notice that this is not possible using local
  • Fall rating will be settled at 0%. We are aware that falls can happen anyway, but we invite all the players to set them at 0% to reduce the risk
  • Variable condition deactivated
  • Bonus/Malus multiplayer deactivated
  • Road Races are played at x1 speed for all the time. People who change it will be sanctioned

Jury and Penalties

Penalties are committed by the organizers of the competition according to multiplayer general rules (in Italian):

Any sanction will be judged only if there is footage provided and / or a member of the organization was in the room as player or streamer and can judge it. Blocks won’t be sanctioned due to testifies without any material proofs. Please notice that will be judged only what is displayed on the video, not the intention, neither the lag. The only way not to be sanctioned is not used 4-6

Riders involved must appeal to the jury immediately after the end of the stage. Decision won’t be changed when the following stage has started.
