Omnium Point System

The Omnium Point System is the World Cup System

Team points score mode

Each rider gets points across the four discipline. Score of the team is calculated on the score of the best rider on the Omnium. Players can be changed between rounds.

Each rider gets points across the four discipline. Score of the team is calculated on the sum of the scores of both riders. Players can be changed between rounds.

After the first round of the Omnium the player that scored more points cannot score in second round (it will be the turn to the other player) and the other way around progressing into the game. Players cannot be changed between rounds.

Best per discipline

The best rider of each omnium discipline scores points, regardless who he is. Score of the team is calculated on the sum of the best rider per each discipline. Players can be changed between rounds.

Worst scores next

First round is free and best rider result is taken per team. After the first round the worst rider scoring in the round is the one that will score in the next one and so on for each of the games. Players that cannot score can be changed between rounds.

Top half scores

Player placing themselves in the top 50% of positions for each discipline scores points only, bottom rider scores 0. Players can be changed between rounds.

Day 1 will be played according to the choice of the best placed team from the previous year. For each of the following day the winner team will pick the order and the format of the next day. Format cannot be repeated and each order must be played twice.

Bonus Event

The Bonus Event is played by the top 3 teams of the day and can be a Keirin or a Sprint. Bonus event isn't played in the final.

Team ending first on the night picks the bonus event between the events available taking into account that both Keirin and Sprint must be played exactly three times.

Keirin Rules

Keirin is played with 2v2v2v2 format. The first team to win 3 rounds is declared the winner and the game stops. The second placed team is the game with most round won at that time - in case of a tie last round placement is the one that matters.

Sprint Rules

Each player for each team will play a sprint with the players of the other two teams (four sprint in total per player, eight per team). Each sprint won scores one point for the team. In case of a tie between teams, player winning more sprints scores for the team (a team scoring 4 points from a 3+1 > a team scoring 4 points from a 2+2). In case tie continues two picked players will play a single sprint to decide the win. In case of a three team tie will be first solved taking only the results of the three sprints between the three best ranked players in the Omnium per team - if tie persist the third team of the Omnium ends 3rd and the result for 1st and 2nd team is decided by the sprint among the best players of the teams in question.

The bonus event gives 3 points in the main classification to the winner and 1 point to the 2nd placed team.

Day classification

The teams, in order gets the following points. Points of the final are doubled

  • 1st: 25 points
  • 2nd: 20 points
  • 3rd: 15 points
  • 4th: 10 points
  • 5th: 7 points
  • 6th: 5 points
  • 7th: 2 points
  • 8th: 1 point

In case of a tie-break, last race of the Omnium act as a tie break

  • If it's Elimination race, the best position of the rider that scores points for the team (the best if both scores) acts as a tie-break
  • If it's Points race, the major amount of points of the rider that scores points for the team (the best if both scores) acts as a tie-break. In case of a tie-break in points, best position in final sprint acts as tie-break

  • Replacements are allowed for a max of two evenings
  • Only players without a team can a replacement
  • Original players must play at least four of the six evenings
    • For any titular player missing an evening, 25% of the team will be deducted by final classification, before the final
