[VISTA] PCM2008 does not start

If PCM2008 does not start after pressing the Play button, please configure the game to run in administrator mode:

1. Open Computer.

2. Open (C:) Local Disk.

3. Open Program Files or Programs folder.

4. Open Cyanide folder then Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2008 folder.

5. Right mouse click 'PCM.EXE' (PCM) application file and click Properties.

6. Click Compatibility tab.

7. Check Disable visual theme and Disable desktop composition.

8. Check Run this program as an administrator.

9. Right mouse click 'PCM-Protection.exe' (PCM-Protection) application file and click Properties.

10. Click Compatibility tab.

11. Check Run this program as an administrator.

12. Click OK button and run the game.

[PCM2008] Error message during disc checking

Pro Cycling Manager 2008 DVD version.

If you get an error message during the disc checking:

1. Click 'Information' button then 'View report' button.

2. Save the error report on the hard disk.

3. Send the error report by e-mail to the technical support of PCM2008 support@cycling-manager.com

[DRIVERS] Drivers problem: how to clean up Windows

When you want to update the graphics or audio drivers, please install and use Driver Sweeper tool to remove old drivers files from your computer:

1. Uninstall the drivers from Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel of Windows.

2. Restart the computer.

3. Run Driver Sweeper*, select the drivers that you have uninstalled and click Clean button.

4. Install the new drivers.

* For Windows Vista users, please run Driver Sweeper in administrator mode.

Right mouse click Driver Sweeper shortcut and click Run as administrator.

To download and install Driver Sweeper, please click HERE.

Click 'Download Now'.

Select the download location then click 'I agree'.

Save DriverSweeper_1.5.5-setup-[Guru3D.com].exe file on the hard disk.

Run DriverSweeper_1.5.5-setup-[Guru3D.com].exe.

[DIRECTX] D3Dx9 DLL file missing when starting the game

Please install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX 9.0c for Windows XP and Windows Vista:

1. Click HERE.

2. Click Download Latest Version.

3. Save directx_jun2008_redist.exe file on the hard disk.

4. Run directx_jun2008_redist.exe and click Yes.

5. Enter C:\TMP to extract files in the (C:) local disk in the TMP folder.

6. Once extraction done, open My Computer or Computer then (C:) local disk.

7. Open TMP folder and run DXSETUP.exe.

8. Once DirectX updated, delete the TMP folder.

[DRIVERS] Update the display drivers

HOW TO IDENTIFY THE GRAPHICS CONTROLLER OF THE COMPUTER

WINDOWS XP

1. Click Start then Run.

2. Type DXDIAG in the Run window and press Enter key.

3. In the DirectX diagnostic tool, click Display tab.

WINDOWS VISTA

1. Click Windows Vista start menu.

2. Type DXDIAG in the Search bar (bottom left) and press Enter key.

3. In the DirectX diagnostic tool, click Display tab.

ATI GRAPHICS CONTROLLERS FOR LAPTOP COMPUTER

ATI RADEON MOBILITY 9600/X/HD

Currently AMD does not provide any driver support for Mobility Radeon products.

All driver and technical support for Mobility Radeon products is provided by the original laptop manufacturer.

To download Windows Mobility Radeon drivers or driver updates for your laptop product, please visit your laptop manufacturer's website.

Otherwise, you can use Mobility Radeon modified drivers from DriverHeaven or Omega Drivers:

NVIDIA GRAPHICS CONTROLLERS FOR LAPTOP COMPUTER

NVIDIA GEFORCE GO FX/6/7/8/9

The reference drivers that are provided by NVIDIA are not compatible for laptop computers.

To locate the latest drivers for your NVIDIA mobile GPU, please visit your laptop manufacturer's website.

[VISTA]PCM2008 non parte

Se PCM2008 non parte dopo aver premuto il bottone per lo start, configurare il gioco in modo da essere eseguito in modalità amministratore

1. Aprire risorse del Computer

2. Aprire il disco locale C:

3. Aprire Programmi

4. Aprire la cartella Cyanide e successivamente la cartella di PCM2008

5. Cliccare col tasto destro su PCM.exe e andare su proprietà

6. Cliccare sulla voce compatibilità

7. Disabilitare il visual theme e la desktop composition

8. Mettere il segno di spunta su avvia questo programma come amministratore

9. Clicca col tasto destro sul file "Pcm-Protection" e andare su proprietà

10. Andare sulla voce riguardante la compatibilità

11. Cliccare la voce per avviare il programma come amministratore

12. Confermare e avviare il gioco

[PCM2008]Errore durante il controllo disco

Se nella versione DVD del gioco si ha un messaggio di errore durante il controllo di autenticità del gioco

1. Cliccare il bottone per aver informazioni e poi vedere il report dell'errore

2. Salvare il report sull'hard disk

3. Inviare via e-mail il report al supporto tecnico Cyanide: support@cycling-manager.com

[Drivers] Problemi di drivers: Come ripulire Windows

Quando tu aggiorni i driver audio o video, per favore installa il tool Driver Sweeper per rimuovere i drivers obsoleti dal tuo pc.

1. Disinstalla i drivers da Installazione Applicazioni nel pannello di controllo di windows

2. Riavvia il computer

3. Avvia Driver Sweeper*, seleziona i drivers che hai eliminato e clicca "clean"

4. Installa i nuovi drivers

*Per Windows Vista bisogna avviare Driver Sweeper in modalità amministratore: per fare ciò cliccate col tasto destro sull'exe del programma e cliccate "usa come amministratore"

Per capire qual'è la scheda video del nostro computer

1. Clicca Start e poi esegui

2. Digita DXDIAG e premi invio

3. Nella schermata di diagonistica andare su "Video"

2. Scrivi nella barra di ricerca DXDIAG e dai invio
